retro-flower-knit-blanket-plush-rust-and-cream-throw-for-sofa-or-bed
Retro Flower Knit Blanket, Plush Rust and Cream Throw for Sofa or Bed

Retro flowers in rust and charcoal are scattered across a speckled cream ground on this knit throw, each one a big, rounded bloom with a dark heart. The face is soft and plush under your hand, so this is the blanket that ends up on your lap the moment you sit down for the evening.

At 47 by 59 inches it is sized for one person. It covers your lap and legs on the sofa, folds over the arm of a reading chair, and lies neatly across the foot of the bed. When it needs a wash, it goes straight in the machine.

Big, simple flowers that read from across the room

The pattern is drawn at a large scale, with only a handful of flowers on the whole blanket and plenty of cream between them. Each bloom is a warm rust shape with rounded petals and a charcoal center, and some of them run off the edges, so the throw looks cut from a bigger piece of fabric rather than boxed in by a border.

Because the shapes are so bold and so few, the design stays clear from the doorway instead of turning into a busy blur. The rust and cream sit happily beside pale wood, rattan, white bedding and plain walls. The flowers bring the color, and the rest of the room can stay calm.

Knitted in, with a plush face and a brown back

Nothing is printed on top. The flowers are knitted into the blanket in dyed yarn, so the color runs right through the stitches and the soft, fuzzy surface carries on unbroken from cream to rust to charcoal.

Turn a corner over and the back is a flatter, tighter knit in a speckled brown, which shows as a darker edge wherever the throw folds over itself. The yarn is a polyester and cotton blend. The blanket is lightweight yet warm, easy to pull around your shoulders and just as easy to push aside.

One throw for the sofa, the chair and the bed

Drape it over the back of a chair with a corner falling to the floor, leave it folded at the end of the sofa, or spread it across the bed over white sheets, where the flowers stand out against the plain cotton. It looks at home in every one of those places.

Cleaning is simple. It is machine washable, so a spilled drink or a dog that likes the sofa is no reason to keep it in the cupboard. Wherever it lands, those flowers are the first thing anyone notices.

Specifications

Material: Polyester and cotton blend

Fabric: Plush knit (knit velvet)

Pattern: Large retro flowers knitted in with dyed yarn

Front: Rust flowers with charcoal centers on a speckled cream ground

Back: Speckled brown knit

Dimensions: 47 x 59 in (120 x 150 cm)

Weight: 1.9 lb (850 g)

Color fastness: Grade 4

Use: Over a sofa, an armchair or the foot of a bed

Care

It can go in the washing machine.

Package Includes

1x Retro Flower Knit Blanket

https://ridgewellliving.com/en-au/products/retro-flower-knit-blanket-plush-rust-and-cream-throw-for-sofa-or-bed
