bauhaus-ceiling-light-flush-mount-cream-glass-shade-for-low-ceilings
Bauhaus Ceiling Light, Flush Mount Cream Glass Shade for Low Ceilings

A flush ceiling light with a soft, rounded shade in cream glass, set on a small brown base right up against the ceiling. The shape takes its cue from Bauhaus design, with one clean curve and nothing added for show, and it fills a bedroom, a hallway or a living room with a warm, even glow without hanging down into the space.

A flush light is usually the plain one, a frosted dome you stop seeing after a week. This one keeps the low profile, at just 6.3 inches deep, and gives the ceiling a shape worth looking up at. It looks good switched off, too.

A Bauhaus-inspired shape in cream glass

The shade is a wide, rounded ring of cream glass, full through the sides like a soft cushion and open underneath. Its surface is smooth and glossy, so in daylight it reads as a pale, warm cream that sits easily beside white walls, wood floors and linen.

Above the glass, a short brass-tone neck joins a round ceiling base in a warm brown finish, held in place by two small knurled brass-tone screws. That is the whole light. Glass, brass tone and brown together give the light a quiet, settled balance. That simplicity is why it looks just as right in a modern room as in one full of older furniture.

Made for the low ceilings a pendant would crowd

A pendant needs headroom, and plenty of hallways, landings and bedrooms simply do not have it. This light mounts flush, so the whole fitting measures 6.3 inches from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade, with no cord and no chain hanging down into the room. Nothing gets in the way.

The curved glass spreads the light softly and evenly, so the room fills with a gentle glow rather than a hard bright spot under the fitting. At 3000K warm white, it suits a bedroom at the end of the day and a front hall when someone walks in. One light covers roughly 54 to 108 square feet.

Two sizes, one shape

The Small works nicely in a hallway, a walk-in closet, a landing or a narrow corridor, where two or three in a row look especially good. The Large gives a bedroom or a living room a light with a little more presence overhead. Both share the same profile and the same depth, and the exact figures are in the specifications below.

Switch it on as the evening comes in, and the whole room takes on that soft cream glow.

Specifications

Type: Flush mount ceiling light

Style: Bauhaus-inspired, modern

Shade: Cream glass, smooth and glossy, open underneath

Ceiling base: Round, in a warm brown finish, with a brass-tone neck and two brass-tone screws

Material: Glass and metal

Small dimensions: 7.9 in across x 6.3 in tall (20 x 16 cm)

Large dimensions: 11 in across x 6.3 in tall (28 x 16 cm)

Large ceiling base: 4.7 in across (12 cm)

Bulb base: E27

Light source: LED

Light sources: 1

Color temperature: 3000K warm white

Voltage: AC 90-240V

Lighting area: About 54 to 108 sq ft (5 to 10 m²)

Mounting: Flush to the ceiling

Location: Indoors

Rooms: Bedrooms, hallways, living rooms, landings and closets

Package Includes

1x Bauhaus Ceiling Light with Glass Shade and Ceiling Base

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0966/9430/5064/files/0554-01-cream-glass-ceiling-light-close-up.jpg?v=1792185564
https://ridgewellliving.com/products/bauhaus-ceiling-light-flush-mount-cream-glass-shade-for-low-ceilings
