botanical-cotton-bedspread-reversible-green-floral-throw-with-fringe
Botanical Cotton Bedspread, Reversible Green Floral Throw with Fringe

A green garden of tulips, lilies and small round flowers covers this cotton bedspread from the pillows to the fringe at the foot, and the other side carries the same garden on a dusty coral ground. Spread it over the bed with the coral turned back at the head, and the room has a centerpiece before you have changed anything else.

On the couch it works just as well. Drape it over the back and let it run down to the floor, and both faces show at once.

Flowers that are woven in, not printed on

The design is laid out in mirrored rows of botanical sprays, the way an old tapestry is: mustard and orange tulips, coral and pink blooms, and long spiky leaves in sky blue, all tied together by fine dark stems on a muted sage-green ground. Every shape is jacquard woven, so the color sits in the yarn itself rather than on the surface.

Look closely at a petal and you can follow the threads that build it. From the doorway, the whole thing settles into one calm field of green with warm color scattered through it.

Turn it over and the bed changes color

The reverse is a finished face of its own, not a plain backing. It carries the same garden in swapped colors, with coral and cream sprays and small blue flowers on a dusty coral-pink ground. Put the green on top for a softer, quieter look, or the coral when you want the room to feel warmer. Fold the top edge back over the pillows and the other side shows as a band of contrast.

A loose fringe along the edges

A short fringe of loose yarns finishes the edges, mixing gray-green with cream and mustard so it picks up both faces. Over the side of a bed it hangs just past the mattress and softens the line where the cover stops.

The cloth is 100% cotton. It falls into easy, relaxed folds over a bed corner or the arm of a couch.

One size for the bed or the couch

At 79 by 91 inches, it covers the top of a made bed, with the fringe falling over the foot and the sides. Fold it in half and it sits over the back of a couch or a reading chair instead, ready for a slow evening. Whichever side faces up, the garden is the first thing anyone notices in the room.

Specifications

Material: 100% cotton

Construction: Jacquard woven, reversible

Pattern: Botanical sprays in mustard, orange, coral, pink and sky blue on sage green; the reverse in coral, cream and blue on dusty coral pink

Edge: Loose yarn fringe

Dimensions: 79 x 91 in (200 x 230 cm)

Color fastness: Grade 4

Use: Over a bed, a couch or a reading chair

Care

Machine wash cold, or wash it by hand if you prefer.

Air drying is recommended.
