wood-frame-wall-clock-with-large-numbers-and-silent-sweep-white-or-red
Wood Frame Wall Clock with Large Numbers and Silent Sweep, White or Red

A round wall clock with a deep wooden frame, a glass front and big, bold numbers you can read from across the room. The hands sweep round on a silent quartz movement, so the only thing it adds to a quiet room is the time.

No ticking. No squinting at thin numbers from the sofa. No second hand chasing itself round the dial.

A clock you can read at a glance, and never hear

You already know what a wall clock is for, and the good ones disappear until you need them. The ones that let you down tend to fail in two ways: the numbers are too fine to read from the other side of the room, or the tick gets louder the moment everything else goes quiet.

This one is built around both. The twelve Arabic numerals are large and heavy, set upright in a ring close to the frame, with plenty of plain face between them and the hands. The movement is a continuous sweep rather than a stepping tick. There are only two hands, one for the hours and one for the minutes, so a glance gives you the time and nothing keeps moving in the corner of your eye.

A wooden frame with real depth, and glass in front

The frame is wood in a warm mid-brown, rounded over at the front and deep at the sides, so the clock stands about 1.8 inches off the wall and reads as a proper round object rather than a flat disc. The face sits back inside it, behind a glass front that keeps dust off the dial and catches a soft line of light from the window.

At 11.8 inches across, it is big enough to hold a stretch of wall above a sideboard, a desk or a bed, without taking it over.

White or red, and what each one suits

The White has a warm white face with muted brown numbers and two hands of grained wood, which tie it back to the frame. It is the quieter of the two. It sits easily in a pale room with oak, walnut and linen, in a bedroom or a home office where you want the clock to settle in rather than stand out.

The Red has a soft, muted red face with cream numbers and cream hands. Against the brown frame it has a slightly retro feel. It works nicely as the one warm color on a plain kitchen wall, in a hallway or in a living room that could use a lift. Both carry the same frame, the same numbers and the same silent sweep.

Either way, the room gets a clock you can read from the doorway and never hear.

Specifications

Type: Analog wall clock

Shape: Round

Material: Wood frame, glass front

Colors: White, Red

Face: Warm white with brown numbers (White); muted red with cream numbers (Red)

Numerals: Large Arabic numerals, 1 to 12

Hands: Hour and minute only, no second hand; grained wood (White), cream (Red)

Movement: Silent quartz sweep, no ticking

Dimensions: 11.8 in diameter x 1.8 in deep (30 x 4.5 cm)

Mounting: Wall-mounted

Power: 1x AA battery, not included

Use: Indoor, for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and home offices

Package Includes

1x Wood Frame Wall Clock in the color you choose

https://ridgewellliving.com/products/wood-frame-wall-clock-with-large-numbers-and-silent-sweep-white-or-red
