A clear storage box whose whole front is a door, in six sizes from a small desk box to a cabinet two feet tall. Stack them on a shelf, a desk or the floor of a cupboard, and every book, CD or collectible inside stays in view, out of the dust and one pull away, whichever box it happens to be in.
No lifting the top boxes off to reach the bottom one. No lid to find a home for. Hook a finger behind the door and it opens.
Open the bottom box without moving the top two
Most stacking boxes have a lid, and a lid works right up until something is sitting on it. Then reaching the box at the bottom means taking everything above it down first and building the stack again afterwards. Here the front panel is the door, so each box in a stack opens on its own while the ones above stay exactly where they are.
On the Medium, Large and Extra Large, the door is hinged along its bottom edge and a shallow notch molded into the middle of its top edge gives your finger something to hook behind. Pull it and the panel tips down and out toward you. The two tall sizes have their finger grip down the right-hand edge of the door instead, the way a cabinet would. Closed, every door sits flush inside the clear frame around the front, so a stack still looks like one tidy unit.
Everything on show, nothing gathering dust
All six sides are clear plastic, so the spines, covers and cases inside read through the walls almost as plainly as they would on an open shelf. You find the one you want by looking, rather than opening three boxes to check. The difference is that the front is shut, so dust settles on the outside of the box, where one wipe takes it off, and not along the top edge of every book.
That makes it a good home for the things you like to see but rarely handle: a run of hardbacks, a CD collection, old albums, the magazines worth keeping, or a shelf of figures and other collectibles.
Which size suits what you keep
The four wide boxes are the bookcase sizes. The Small suits a desk, a row of CDs or a stack of notebooks, while the Medium and Large take paperbacks and hardbacks standing upright with room above them. The Extra Large is the deepest of the four, so big art books, magazines and albums fit without leaning.
The two tall boxes are for display. Tall with Shelf has a clear shelf across its middle, which turns one box into two levels for figures, models and small collections. The Extra Tall has no shelf at all, leaving one open space for the tallest pieces you own. Every size comes as a single box, and the Small, Medium and Large also come as a set of three. Exact measurements for each are in the specifications below.
