A draped sofa cover in a soft herringbone weave, made to lie over the seat, back and arms of the sofa you already own and give it a fresh face. Spills, pet hair and the everyday wear of being sat on land on the cover instead of the upholstery, and when it needs a clean, it lifts off and goes in the washing machine.
No straps to fasten. No cushions to pull out. Lay it over, tuck the edge into the seat crease and sit down.
A cover that looks like part of the room
A plain stretch slipcover tends to show what it is: a thin sheet of jersey pulled tight over the frame, with a sheen and a few seams in places the sofa never had them. This one is woven instead. The herringbone runs in bold V-shaped rows across the whole cover, set into a soft raised pile, and a short fringe finishes the edges, so it reads as a good throw that happens to cover the whole sofa rather than as protection.
It comes in three colors. Ivory is a warm off-white with taupe lines and a natural fringe. Black carries fine white lines on a black ground, and Gray is a white ground with black lines that reads as a mid gray from across the room.
Draped, so it fits almost any shape
Because it is not tailored to one sofa, there is nothing to line up. It lies over the seat and the back and falls loosely down each side, which means a straight three-seater, a sofa with curved arms, a sectional, a recliner and a leather couch all take it the same way. Tuck about three inches into the crease at the back of the seat and it holds its place while you sit down, stretch out and get up again. After a busy week, a quick re-tuck is all it needs.
Every size is 71 inches deep, which covers the seat and the back of a standard-depth sofa with fabric to spare down each side. A water-resistant finish helps slow a spilled drink from soaking in, so you have time to blot it before it reaches the sofa underneath.
Which size to order
Measure your sofa from the outside of one arm to the outside of the other, and the size follows from that one number. Small is for a single seat, such as an armchair, a recliner or a chaise. Medium suits a two-seat loveseat, Large is the one for a standard three-seat sofa, and Extra Large covers a long three-seater. The arm-to-arm range for each size is in the specifications.
A deep or oversized sofa can take a Large over the back and seat with a Small laid across the front of the seat, in the same color so the two sit together. An L-shaped sectional works the same way, with one size for the long run and a Small for the chaise. Off the sofa, any size makes a generous throw for the end of a bed, and on the sofa it takes the daily wear so the upholstery underneath does not have to.
