Vacuum Coffee Canister with Push Button Pump Lid in Stainless Steel

A stainless steel coffee canister with a pump built into its lid, so every time you close it you can press most of the air back out of the jar. Fresh beans lose their flavor to the air around them, and a jar that only shuts keeps that air sealed in with them.

A few presses take the air out, one small button lets it back in

The silver button in the middle of the lid is the pump. Put the lid on, press the button down a few times, and each press pushes a little more air out of the jar while the silicone ring under the lid keeps the seal. When the button stays raised, about a fifth of an inch above the lid, the jar is pumped.

Beside it sits a much smaller button. When you want your coffee, press that one first to let the air back in, and the lid lifts straight off. Scoop out what you need, close it again and give the pump its few presses.

It works the same for anything dry. Whole beans and ground coffee are what most people fill it with, but loose tea, nuts, grains, flour and sugar all keep in it just as well.

Steel inside, and a mouth nearly as wide as the jar

The inside is bare stainless steel, finished with a rolled rim at the top, and the outside is a soft matte off-white under a black lid. The mouth runs almost the full width of the canister, so you can pour beans straight in from the bag and reach the last scoop at the bottom without tipping it over.

The bottom is flat with a raised non-slip ring, so it stays put on the counter while you press the pump.

Three heights on the same footprint

All three sizes are 5.6 inches across, and only the height changes. The Small is a low, squat jar for a bag of beans you will finish within the week, the Medium suits most kitchens' everyday coffee, and the Large is as tall as it is wide, for the bigger bags or a second job like flour or grains.
