Wheat ears and wide bands, framed in mustard

The pattern is built from long stripes. Narrow rows of chevrons, the wheat ears, alternate in mustard and white with thin aqua lines between them. Wider bands of gray or gold carry a white motif edged with small aqua arrows. Spread over a bed, the stripes run its full width and give the room one strong line of color.

The mustard border picks up the gold in the stripes and squares the whole design off, so it looks finished from the foot of the bed and along both sides. Next to white sheets, pale wood and plain walls, those warm golds and soft grays bring color without crowding the room.

An aqua side for a lighter look

Flip it and the mood changes. The reverse is a soft aqua blue with the motifs picked out in white, and the mustard border runs between the two faces, so a strip folded back at the pillows shows all three colors at once.
