A bright frying pan with a raised honeycomb pattern hammered across the inside, a smooth brushed wall outside and a long metal handle fixed with two rivets. It comes in five sizes from 8 to 12 inches, and every size is sold on its own or with a matching glass lid.
No plastic grip to crack. No wooden handle to dry out. One piece of metal cookware that looks as good hanging on the wall as it does on the stove.
The pattern you see every time you cook
Most frying pans are a flat dark circle, and you stop noticing them the week they arrive. This one has a field of small raised cells pressed into the cooking surface, tight and even near the rim and fading out toward a smooth brushed center, so the light picks out the texture every time it sits on the hob. The rolled rim and the smooth outer wall are left plain, which keeps the pattern where you actually look.
This is the one you leave out rather than hide in a cupboard.
A handle you can hang it from
The handle is one slim metal piece that rises gently away from the rim and finishes in a teardrop hole. Two rivets hold it to the wall, side by side, and nothing about it is wood or plastic.
That hole means it can live on a rail or a hook beside the stove instead of at the bottom of a stack. The base underneath is flat and plain, so it sits level on the burner, and the smaller sizes nest inside the larger ones in a drawer if you buy more than one.
Five sizes, with or without the lid
The Extra Small is the 8 inch pan for an egg or two and a quick breakfast. Small and Medium cover the everyday dinner for one or two people, and Large and Extra Large give a whole fillet, a pile of vegetables or a family breakfast room to spread out. Every size reads in inches and centimeters in the selector, and the full measurements are in the specifications.
The glass lid is worth adding if you braise, steam or cook anything low and slow. It is clear, so you can watch what is happening without lifting it, with a metal band around the rim, a round metal knob on top and a small vent for steam. Pick the size first, then decide whether you want the lid, and the size you reach for most has its own cover.
