Keyboard Cleaning Brush with Retractable Bristles and Screen Wipe Pad

A small desk tool with two jobs: a soft gray brush that slides out of one end for the gaps between your keys, and a microfiber pad across the back for the screen above them. The orange button on the front rides in a narrow window down the middle of the body. Push it toward the end and a fan of fine gray bristles slides out, as wide as the tool itself and about three quarters of an inch long, which is enough to reach down between the keys of a laptop or a full-size keyboard. Pull the button back and the bristles disappear inside again.

Turn it over and the whole back face is a soft microfiber pad. Run it across a laptop screen, a monitor or a phone and it lifts the fingerprints and the fine film of dust that settles on glass, with no spray bottle and no loose cloth to find first. There is no liquid inside and no battery, so there is nothing to refill and nothing to charge.

Why the bristles go back inside

An open brush is fine standing in a pen pot and a nuisance anywhere else. Dropped into a bag, its bristles bend out of shape and collect lint from the bottom of the pocket, and the next keyboard they touch gets all of it. Here the bristles slide back into the body until you want them, so they keep their shape and stay clean between uses.

That is what makes it worth carrying. It goes in the bag with the laptop, in the glovebox or in the drawer under the desk, and at under an inch thick you forget it is there until a stray crumb lands between the keys.

Small enough to keep wherever the dust is

The keyboard is where most people start, but the same brush suits anything with slats and narrow gaps. It reaches into the louvers of a car's air vents, along the guard of a desk fan and around the small ornaments on a shelf that a duster only skims. The pad handles a phone as easily as a laptop, so one tool covers the screen in your pocket and the one on your desk.
