Most recliner covers are sold on protection alone, and they look it: a plain panel in one flat shade that reads as something put down to save the chair. This one is a textile you would pick for the room. The quilting draws big leaves across the whole surface, each with a raised center vein and padded ribs running out to its edge, and the spaces between them are filled with fine parallel stitching so the leaves stand up from the background.

The face is a short, soft pile rather than a flat weave. It takes the light from a window differently across every leaf, which is what makes the pattern read from across the room.

It follows the recliner all the way out

A throw blanket covers a recliner until you put the footrest up, and then it slides off the front and spends the rest of the evening on the floor. This panel is cut for the reclined position. This one is made for a single recliner. The panel is 23.6 inches across at the top and narrows to 17.7 inches at the footrest end, so it covers the middle of the chair where you actually sit rather than wrapping every side of it. A sofa or a loveseat needs a wider cover than this one.
