Sun rings, tall chevrons and rows of little dashes run across this cotton throw in slate blue and soft orange on a cream ground. Turn it over and the same blanket goes darker, with orange suns and cream detail on a slate blue face, so one throw gives the bed or the couch two different looks.

Spread it across the bed with a corner folded back to show both sides, or drape it along the couch with the darker face hanging at one end. Pull it over your legs for an evening of reading.

Sun rings and chevrons in two soft colors

The brighter face is built from a handful of shapes repeated across the cloth. Round sun motifs made of small slate blue blocks circle a solid orange center, columns of chevrons climb between them, and fine blue lines cross the gaps in a loose lattice knotted with little diamonds.

Rows of orange and blue dashes fill whatever space is left, and small arrow shapes stack up along the lattice lines. With only two colors on a cream ground, all that pattern still reads calmly from across the room. Up close, there is more to find.

A darker face on the other side

Flip it and the reverse is slate blue, with the suns drawn in orange around pale centers and the chevrons and dashes picked out in orange and cream. Nothing about that side looks like a lining, so either face can go on top.

Fold one corner back over the foot of the bed and the two faces sit side by side as a single look. The cream side brightens a room and the darker side settles it down, so you can swap whenever the mood changes.

Four layers of cotton muslin, with the pattern woven in

The cloth is four layers of 100% cotton muslin, and the design is woven with dyed yarns rather than printed onto the surface, so every shape is built from threads you can pick out. Those layers give it a soft, gently crinkled texture that settles into loose folds over the arm of a couch. Rumpled looks right on it.

A narrow hemmed edge finishes all four sides, with no fringe to tangle in the wash. The Small suits the couch or the foot of the bed, and the Medium keeps that width with more length to hang. The Large covers the top of a made bed, and the Extra Large adds length to tuck in at the foot. Whichever size you choose, changing the look of the room takes one flip.
