Woven Bird Throw Blanket, Reversible Cotton in Teal or Green with Fringe

Birds fly in facing pairs across a woven cotton ground, with leafy sprigs and little flowers between them and a loose fringe around the edge. It comes in deep teal with golden birds or in forest green with salmon pink ones. Flip either over and you find a cream face with birds of its own, which gives you two quite different looks from one throw on the bed or the sofa.

Spread it along the foot of the bed with one corner folded back so both faces show, or drop it over the arm of the sofa and let the fringe fall toward the floor. However it lands, the birds are what catches the eye first.

Birds that meet in pairs

Each bird has a speckled body and wings fanned wide, and it turns toward a partner across a flower on a tall stem. Sprigs and leaves fill the spaces in between. Tiny stars and pale blossoms are scattered wherever there is room.

The drawing is flat and simple in the Scandinavian manner, so every shape sits crisply against the background instead of blurring into it. Look closely and you will see that each bird and leaf is built from tiny woven dots, while the ground around them carries a gentle crinkle rather than a flat, smooth surface.

Two colors of the same woven birds

On the teal throw the birds are golden with gray bodies and the sprigs are rust red, set on a teal that leans a little toward blue so the gold and the rust read warm on top. Its cream face carries navy and orange birds, with navy flowers and sprigs in a soft gray-blue.

The green throw sits on a deeper forest green, with salmon pink birds, burgundy sprigs and rust leaves. Turn it over and the cream face has dark green birds and flowers with small coral accents, so the reverse picks up the green of the front. Even the fringe follows the color, green on some sides and a red and pink mix on the others.

On both, the cream side is a finished design and not a lining. Either face can go up, and folding a corner back at the pillows lets you show the pair together.

Cotton, with the pattern woven right through

The whole throw is 100% cotton, made as a four-layer, double-sided jacquard. Because the pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed onto it, nothing sits on the surface. Laid over a bed or pulled across the sofa, it settles into loose, easy folds.

Use: Over a bed or a sofa

Care

We recommend washing it by hand to keep it at its best. It will also take a cold machine wash on a delicate cycle, on its own. No bleach and no harsh detergents. Wash colors separately, so nothing transfers.

Tumble dry on low heat, or hang it to dry. Let it dry completely before you put it away or back on the bed.
