Here the front of each box is a door hinged along its bottom edge. Pull it by the round finger hole near the top and it swings down and lies level, so a box in the middle of a stack opens without anything above it moving. Lift the pair out and push the front back up. The stack never comes apart.

See-through on every side, so you see the pair before you open anything

The front panel is completely clear and the walls are translucent plastic, so the whole collection reads at a glance from across the room: white sneakers, brown loafers, black shoes for work, the running pair. The finger hole sits flush in the front, with no handle sticking out to catch a sleeve or a bag.

Each box measures 13 inches deep, 9.4 wide and 5.5 tall on the outside, made for a pair of men's sneakers, loafers or dress shoes standing side by side with the heels to the front. It arrives flat. You fold the sheet into shape, push the end tabs through their slots and snap the clear frame and the door into place by hand, with no tools.
