Expandable Drawer Dividers with Push Lock, Short or Long, Set of 2 or 4

White drawer dividers that pull out to the exact depth of your drawer, front to back, and lock at that length, so socks, T-shirts, chargers or kitchen tools each get a lane of their own and stay in it. Both ends carry a soft black sponge pad, and between the two sizes they fit drawers from 10.8 to 25.8 inches deep.

No saw. No trimming. No tray that turns out to be an inch too small for the drawer it was bought for. Pull it to length, push the lock down, and it holds.

Made to fit the drawer you already have

Most drawer organizers come in fixed sizes, and drawers do not, so a tray leaves a gap down one side that slowly fills with whatever slides into it. The cut-to-fit strips solve that once, because a piece you have trimmed for one drawer can never be made longer again for the next. These work the other way round. Each divider is two flat white boards, one sliding inside the other, and it stretches from the front of the drawer to the back until both ends meet the walls.

That also means it comes back out. Move to a new dresser, or decide the sock drawer would work better as the T-shirt drawer, and you release the lock, change the length and set it again somewhere else.

Pull the halves apart, then press the lock down

Tilt it into the drawer and pull the two halves apart until the pads touch the front and back. Then press down the small lock on the front face, which holds that length while you slide the whole thing left or right to wherever you want the line. That is the whole installation.

The ends are the only part that touches your furniture, and each one is faced with a black textured sponge pad rather than a hard plastic edge. Pressed against the drawer walls, they keep the board standing straight, so lifting a rolled pair of socks out of one lane does not push the wall over into the next. You can also butt the end of one against the side of another to make a T, which turns one long lane into two shorter boxes for a watch, a wallet and keys.

Measure front to back before you choose

The right size depends on the inside depth of the drawer, measured from the front wall to the back wall where the divider will sit. The Short covers 10.8 to 17.9 inches and suits desk drawers, nightstands and bathroom vanities. The Long covers 14.8 to 25.8 inches and suits a full dresser or kitchen drawer. Where your drawer falls in the overlap, either one fits, and the Short is the lower of the two. They also run side to side across any drawer whose inside width falls in the same range.

Check that the drawer's sides stand taller inside than the divider, or its top edge will catch the frame as the drawer closes. A set of two splits one drawer into three lanes, and a set of four does two drawers, or one wide drawer into five. A minute with a tape measure, and the drawer you open every morning has a place for everything in it.
