A travel packing bag that takes the air out of your clothes, with a small rechargeable pump to do it for you. Fill it, zip it and hold the pump to the valve. What sat 7.9 inches deep when packed then lies about 3 inches thick in your case, with 15 or more clothing items inside.

No rolling. No kneeling on anything to squeeze it flat. No sitting on the suitcase while someone else pulls the zip.

The pump does the squeezing, so the clothes go in flat and stay flat

Packing cubes keep a case tidy, but they hold your clothes at exactly the size your clothes already are. Roll-up bags get some of the air out, provided you are willing to kneel on them and roll from one end, and the result depends on how hard you pressed that day.

This one closes with a single airtight zip down the middle of the front. Hold the USB-C pump to the round valve beside it and the pump draws the air out until the clothes inside are pressed down flat. One charge covers up to 20 compressions, which is plenty for packing at home, repacking in the hotel room and doing it again on the last morning.

Fifteen or more pieces in a bag that fits the luggage you already own

At 18 by 12 inches and 27 liters, it takes 15 or more clothing items depending on how thick they are, from t-shirts and jeans to sweaters and dresses. Compressed, it slides into a carry-on beside your shoes and wash bag, into the main compartment of a backpack, into a duffel or into checked luggage. Fold your clothes flat before they go in rather than stuffing them, because they stay in whatever shape they are in when the air comes out.

It saves space, not weight. Your clothes weigh what they weigh, and the empty bag itself adds only 0.53 lb, so a full suitcase still needs the usual eye on your airline's weight limit.

Tear-resistant nylon, not a plastic sheet that splits

Most cheap vacuum bags are thin plastic with a slider seal along one edge. Here you get soft black nylon with TPU protection, a short grab loop on top and a T-shaped pull on the zip, so it handles like a packing cube that happens to shrink. The pump is about the size of a thick marker at 3.3 by 1.4 inches, small enough to ride along in the case and charge over USB-C between trips. Pack it at home, pump it flat, and the case closes without a fight on the way back too.
