A clear 9-inch turntable for a cabinet shelf, the fridge or the counter, in two styles: one open tray, or one split into four sections around a center post. Give it a turn and whatever was sitting at the back comes round to the front, so you reach for the bottle you want instead of moving three others to find it.

No knocking over the oil to get to the vinegar. No emptying the shelf to find the cumin. No second jar of something you already had.

The back of the cabinet, brought to the front

You already know how a lazy Susan works. The trouble it solves is the deep cabinet and the crowded fridge shelf, where the jars at the back only come to light once they are past their date. On a turntable nothing has to stay behind anything else for long, so the dead space at the back of the shelf becomes the easiest place to reach. Nothing gets forgotten.

The tray turns a full 360 degrees on its own base, and you can keep turning until the label you want faces you. There is nothing to assemble and nothing to screw into the cabinet. Set it down, load it up, turn.

A clear wall tall enough to keep bottles standing

The wall rises 3.5 inches all the way round, which holds sauce bottles, oils and jars upright and keeps them on the tray while it turns. Because the wall and the floor are both clear, you can see from the front of the shelf how much is left in each bottle without lifting a single one out.

At 9 inches across, it sits on an ordinary cabinet shelf, a fridge shelf or a corner of the counter beside the stove. Spice jars, oil and vinegar bottles, hot sauces, cans and small jars all fit on it. In the fridge it gathers the condiments, the jams and the odd jar of pickles into one place you can turn to.

Plain or divided, depending on what lives on the shelf

The plain style has one open floor. It suits tall bottles, cans and anything wider than a spice jar, so pick it for oils and sauces in a cabinet, or for drinks and jars on a fridge shelf, where you want as much as possible on a single turntable.

The divided style has four clear panels meeting at a hollow center post, splitting the floor into four sections. Small things that usually end up in a jumble each get a corner of their own, so the spice jars sit in one section, the seasoning packets in another and the tea in a third. Both styles share the same 9-inch footprint and the same 3.5-inch wall, so two of them sit side by side on a shelf like a matching pair, and either way the cabinet you open every day finally works from the front.
