Layers of crinkled cotton gauze make up this blanket, and a loose fringe finishes every edge. Spread it over the foot of the bed or along the back of the couch, and the crinkled surface draws the eye before anything else in the room.

Left folded on the arm of a chair or across the end of the bed, it looks just as settled lying there as it feels pulled up over your legs. You see the puckered cotton and the fringe just as plainly in a neat stack as you do with the whole thing opened out across a mattress.

Small rounded puckers from one edge to the other

The cloth is 100% cotton, built up from layers of gauze, and rows of small rounded puckers cover the surface right out to the edges. Look closely and every little cell stands out, while from the other side of the room the whole face settles into one soft, even texture instead of a flat sheet of color.

The finish is fully matte. Nothing on it shines, and the cotton drapes in soft, rounded folds.

A fringed edge, and a blanket for wherever you settle

Each side ends in a short fringe of loose threads. It hangs a little unevenly. Fold it on a bench or toss it over a chair, and those loose ends are usually the first detail people notice.

Draw it over your lap on the couch on a slow afternoon, or pull it around your shoulders when cool air drifts in through an open window. Small fits a chair or a lap nicely, and Large spreads across a bed as a full cover.

Eight colors of the same soft cotton

Brown and Olive make the warm, earthy pair, at their best beside wood, linen and plants. Mauve is a dusty rose with a touch of brown in it, and it sits between the earthy shades and the soft ones.

For a lighter room there is Cream, a warm off-white that sits well against pale wood, and Lavender, a gentle pale purple suited to a bedroom. Slate, Gray and Charcoal suit cooler rooms: Slate is a deep blue-gray, Gray a plain mid gray and Charcoal close to black.

Whichever color you pick, it tends to stay out on the couch rather than going back in the closet.
