A wall clock shaped like a five-petal flower, with a thick rounded frame in green, red or cream, a cream dial and a pendulum that swings slowly underneath it. The movement is a silent sweep, so the room gets something to look at and nothing to listen to.
No ticking. No plain white circle. No clock that disappears into the paint.
A clock that is the decoration, not just next to it
Most wall clocks are a round face in a thin ring, chosen to blend in, and a few weeks later nobody sees them at all. This one is built the other way round: the outline is a soft five-petal flower, and a fat rounded tube runs all the way along it, so the frame stands proud of the dial and catches the light along every curve.
At 15.4 inches across it holds a plain stretch of wall on its own, above a sideboard, a sofa or a breakfast table, without needing a gallery of frames around it.
A pendulum that swings, on a clock you never hear
Below the bottom of the flower a slim white rod hangs down the wall and ends in a black ring, and it swings gently from side to side while the clock runs. It brings the corner of the room to life in a way a still clock cannot, and with the pendulum the whole piece measures 25.6 inches from top to bottom.
The hands run on a quartz sweep movement rather than a stepping tick, so there is no click to notice once the room goes quiet. There are only two of them: a short hour hand in warm walnut with a pale wavy line inlaid along it, and a long black minute hand. The twelve slim numerals turn to follow the curve of the dial, which gives the face a slightly retro, playful feel while staying easy to read.
Green, red or cream, and where each one works
The Green is a deep forest green, the most grown-up of the three. It works nicely in a study, against oak and walnut furniture, or on a pale wall in a living room with plants in it.
The Red is a warm tomato red with a cheerful, mid-century feel. It suits a kitchen, a dining nook or a hallway that could use one strong color.
The Cream is the quietest, with a frame in the same warm ivory as the dial, so the flower shape does the talking. It sits easily in a bedroom or a soft neutral room. All three share the same cream dial, the same hands and the same black-ringed pendulum.
Hang it, set the pendulum going, and the wall stops being the boring part of the room.
