Foldable Travel Bag with Expandable Base and Luggage Trolley Sleeve

Then the base unzips

Run the zip across the front, just under the pocket, and the bottom of the bag drops open. The body gains four inches of height in one movement, going from 11 inches to 15, which is the difference between a coat that nearly fits and a coat that goes in.

Zip it back up and the bag returns to the shape it started as. Nothing detaches, nothing gets left in a hotel room, and the extra depth costs you nothing while you are not using it.

It rides on the suitcase

The zip pocket on the back is open at its top and its bottom, so the pull handle of a wheeled case slides straight up behind it. The bag then sits on the case and travels with it, and both your hands stay free through the terminal.

Off the case there are two handles for carrying it like a holdall, and a long webbing strap with a slider for wearing it over one shoulder or across your body. Fourteen ounces is roughly the weight of a paperback, so an empty bag never adds anything worth noticing.

The wet swimsuit does not go in with your shirts

Inside, past the main compartment, there are two patch pockets on the wall for the small things that otherwise sink to the bottom, and a separate section at one end for anything damp. Wet towels, gym kit, a swimsuit on the last morning of a holiday.

Outside there is a zip pocket on the front and another on the back, which is where a phone, a passport and a boarding card end up. Everything closes with a zip, so nothing works its way out while the bag is being handled by someone else.
