A knitted throw laid out in a grid of rounded color blocks, each one ringed in white and set into a soft gray lattice, with a tassel fringe hanging from both short ends. It comes in mustard, blue or caramel, and in two lengths: one for the back of the couch, and one long enough to lie under or to run across the end of a bed.
Plenty of throws look good folded over the arm and do very little once you are under them. This one earns its place twice. It looks finished enough to stay out on the sofa all week, and it is still the blanket you reach for when the evening turns cold.
A geometric grid that reads from across the room
The pattern repeats edge to edge in neat rows: a rounded block of color, a white outline around it, and fine gray lines crossing between the blocks with small dots of color where they meet. Up close it is a tidy knitted texture you can feel under your hand. From the doorway it turns into a clean, retro check that brings one strong color into the room without ever looking busy.
Drop it over the arm of a gray or blue sofa and the color lifts the whole seat. Hang it from a blanket ladder and the full grid shows from the top fold down to the fringe. Spread it across the end of the bed and it reads as a proper layer rather than something left there.
Knitted, so it moves with you
A knit is built from interlocking loops, and those loops hold a little air, which is what keeps you warm under it. It also stretches and follows your shoulders when you pull it around you, where a flat woven throw tends to sit stiffly on top like a sheet. This one is knitted from 100% acrylic.
The tassels run along the two short ends only. That keeps the long sides plain and tidy where they fall over a cushion or down the side of the bed, and puts the fringe where you see it.
Mustard, blue or caramel, in two lengths
Mustard is a warm golden yellow and the boldest of the three. Blue is a deep, slightly muted denim blue that sits quietly beside wood and white walls. Caramel is a warm orange-tan that looks at home with leather, oak and cream. Whichever you choose, the white outlines and the gray lattice stay the same.
The Small is sized for the couch, over the back of a two-seater or across the knees of one or two people. The Large is almost the same width but about 23 inches longer, which is enough to lie under with your feet covered or to run across the foot of a bed. The exact measurements are in the specifications below. Either way, it is the throw that stays out, because it looks right left over the arm and still does its job when you pull it up.

Care
Wash it cold and gently, on its own: by hand, or on a delicate cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Keep it away from zips, buttons and hook-and-loop straps, which catch on the knit. No bleach.
While it is still damp, comb the tassels straight with your fingers, then lay it flat to dry. No tumble drying, and never hang it wet from one edge, which pulls the knit out of shape.
