A glaze you end up looking at twice

Each one is glazed in one of five colors, and the glaze is not flat. Short dark brown flecks run through it like the grain in a stone, so up close the color has depth, and from a few feet away it simply reads as one soft shade. The finish is glossy and catches the light along the rim.

At the center sits a small gold-tone cap, domed slightly, with a clean highlight on it. Against green or teal it stands out as a bright point in the middle of the face. Against mustard and orange it all but disappears into the warmth of the glaze.

Flared or round, and which color to pick

The two styles are genuinely different shapes, not one design in two sizes. The Flared is the larger of the pair, with a wide ring of dark brown glaze pooled around the cap and a flared dark brown foot that makes it look planted on the door. It tends to suit full-height cupboard doors and darker wood.

The Round is smaller and softer, a domed head with only a thin amber ring around the cap and a short straight stem underneath. It works nicely on drawer fronts, a bathroom vanity or a dresser, where something bigger can crowd the panel. Exact sizes for both are in the specifications.

Green and Teal sit easily against white doors and pale oak, and both look at home beside brushed steel appliances.
