Teal Ginkgo Cotton Quilt, Reversible Leaf Pattern with Orange Border

Ginkgo leaves in orange, rose red and soft sage drift across a deep teal ground on this cotton quilt, each one a small fan on its own short stem, each turned at its own angle. A solid orange border frames all four sides. Turn it over and the back is orange with the leaves in teal, so one quilt gives the bed two quite different moods.

Spread it flat over the sheet, or lay it over a duvet and fold the top edge back so a band of the orange side shows at the pillows. It comes in three sizes, Small to Large, on its own or with a pair of matching pillowcases. The pillowcases are also sold by themselves.

Teal on one face, orange on the other

The front is the calmer side. Its teal ground is dark enough to sit quietly in a bedroom, and the leaves scattered over it in orange, rose and sage keep it from ever looking flat. There is no rigid grid to the pattern, so from the doorway it reads like leaves fallen on a path rather than wallpaper.

The back swaps the colors around. Orange becomes the ground and the leaves turn teal, rose and sage, which makes that side noticeably warmer and brighter. Put the teal face up for a darker, more settled bed and the orange face up when the room wants more color. A corner turned back shows both at once, and that is how it looks best made up.

Soft cotton, finished with a wide orange border

The quilt is 100% cotton, with a soft, gently crinkled surface where the outline of each leaf stands slightly proud of the cloth. It drapes in loose folds over the side of the mattress instead of standing stiff, and cotton stays breathable enough to sleep under every night.

A broad orange band runs around every edge, folded over and held by a fine line of stitching along its inner side. It gives the quilt a neat, finished line where it hangs down the bed. Because the same orange frames both faces, the border ties the two sides together whichever way up you lay it.
