Fitted stretch covers for the cushions on your sofa, one cover to each cushion, in a soft stretch knit with a fine raised cross-hatch texture, in 11 colors. Each one pulls over a seat, back or chaise cushion, and an elastic band around the whole underside holds it in place, so the sofa keeps its own shape and simply gets fresh cushions on top.

No zip to wrestle with. No loose throw sliding to the floor. Pull the cover on, tuck the elastic underneath and put the cushion back.

Fresh cushions without buying a new sofa

The frame of a good sofa usually outlasts the fabric on its cushions. The seats fade where everyone sits, the backs pick up marks at head height, and the arms and base still look perfectly fine. A whole-sofa slipcover hides all of it at once, but it bunches in the gaps between the seats and has to be tugged straight every time somebody gets up.

This works cushion by cushion instead. The arms, the legs and the frame stay exactly as they are, and only the parts that take the wear get a new face. Pick a color to match the room or to change it: white, beige and taupe keep a pale sofa light, grey, slate and charcoal sit easily against a cream or stone frame, and camel, brown, green, blue and navy give it a new look altogether.

A stretch knit that follows the cushion

The fabric is a soft, high-stretch knit of polyester with a little spandex, pressed with a low-relief diagonal cross-hatch pattern. It pulls snug over the corners and down the sides rather than sitting on top like a sheet, and it resists wrinkling, so the seat still looks smooth after an evening of people sitting on it.

Underneath, the elastic gathers the edge of the cover into a neat border on all four sides. Nothing shows from the front, and there are no ties to knot. On wash day it comes straight off and goes in the washing machine, while the bare cushion waits on the sofa.

Which covers to order

Count the cushions, not the sofa. Each cover fits one cushion, so a three-seat sofa with three seat cushions and three back cushions takes three seat covers and three back covers, and a sectional adds a chaise cover for the long lounger end.

Then measure one cushion of each kind. Seat Small tends to suit a single seat cushion, while Seat Medium and Seat Large are for the longer bench cushions that run across two places or more. Backs follow the same pattern, and the chaise comes in Medium and Large depending on how wide the lounger is. They run slightly snug, so if a cushion sits right at the top of a range, the next size up is the safer choice, and every range is in the specifications.

Change the cushions, keep the frame, and the whole sofa reads new again.
