A chunky chenille knit is made of nothing but loops, big soft rounds of velvety yarn locked into rows you can pick out from across the room. Throw this one over the back of the sofa or across the foot of the bed and it settles into deep, rounded folds that look right without any arranging.
Pull it over your knees for the evening and the chenille feels smooth and plush under your hands. It comes in ten solid colors and seven sizes, from a small square for a reading chair up to a throw wide enough to spread across the end of a bed.
Big chenille loops, and the open knit between them
Every row is a chain of chunky stitches, each one a soft round of yarn sitting proud of the next. Chenille carries a short velvety pile along every strand, so the knit looks soft in a photograph and feels it the moment you touch it. Light catches the tops of the loops and drops into the hollows between them, and that is what gives one plain color so much depth. Nothing about it looks flat.
This is an open knit. Spread it flat on a white bed and the sheet shows through in small gaps between the loops, so it works as a layer you see on top of the bedding rather than a dense blanket that replaces it. The edges finish in a neat chained rim of the same yarn. No fringe, no tassels.
Seven sizes, from an armchair to the foot of the bed
Extra Small and Small share the narrowest width. The square Extra Small suits a reading chair or a single lap, and Small adds a little length for a sofa arm or a footstool.
Medium, Large, Extra Large and XXL share one width. Each simply grows longer than the last, which makes them easy to match to the piece they will live on, whether that is the back of a two-seat sofa, a window seat or one person stretched out for a nap. XXXL is the widest of the range, and the one to pick if you want to share it on the sofa or lay it across a bed. The exact figures for every size are in the specifications.
Ten colors, from quiet to bold
Silver is a pale, cool gray and White a clean, soft white. Gray sits in the middle of the range, while Slate is darker, with a hint of blue in it.
Beige is a pale oatmeal, Taupe a soft gray-brown with a touch of rose, and Camel a warm tan. Black is the deepest of the ten, Blue a strong royal blue, and Pink a dusty blush.
Choose a neutral that sits quietly with the sofa you already have, or a bold one that becomes the first thing you notice when you walk into the room.

Care
Wash it gently by hand in cold water with a mild detergent, and do not wring or twist it. No bleach and no fabric softener.
To dry it, lay it flat on a clean towel and roll the towel up to press the water out, then lay it flat again to air dry, away from direct sun and heat.
Store it folded in a cool, dry place. Hanging it can stretch the knit.
