Floral Jacquard Throw Blanket in Reversible Five Layer Cotton Gauze

This is a floral jacquard throw blanket in reversible five-layer cotton gauze. Big open blooms climb along trailing vines across it, and a broad strip of plain color frames the edges. On colder nights, lay it over the duvet as an extra layer on the bed, or bring it to the sofa for the evening.

Five layers of cotton give it more body than a single-layer throw, so it makes a proper extra layer on top of the bedding. On the sofa there is room under it for two, and folded, it hangs over one arm until you need it.

Bold flowers that are part of the weave

The design is a crowded garden of wide open flowers, curling leaves and fine winding stems, drawn large enough that every bloom reads clearly from the far side of the room. A soft, muted ground carries flowers in a contrasting shade, so all that detail stays calm instead of busy.

Nothing is printed on top. The flowers are jacquard woven, which means the outlines and the shading are threads you can pick out in the fabric itself, and the solid strip along the edges works as a frame. Fold the blanket onto a shelf and that strip is the first thing you notice.

Flip a corner and the flowers carry on

The reverse is patterned too, set on a different background color. When a corner falls back over the foot of the bed, you get a second look rather than a plain lining. The plain band appears on both faces.

Soft cotton gauze, five layers deep

Five layers of 100% cotton gauze give the surface a soft, gently crinkled texture, visible in every fold. Drape it along the edge of the mattress or across a couch arm and it falls into loose, relaxed folds. Rumpled suits it.

Through the colder months it can stay out all the time, folded at the end of the bed or over a chair back, where it waits within reach for a nap or a chilly night of reading.

Five colors and two sizes, all one floral design

On Mustard, blue-gray flowers sit on a warm golden face inside a deep blue band. Blue is the quietest of the set, with blue-gray flowers on a pale cream face and that same blue band. Sage sets tan and copper flowers on a soft gray-green, edged in a sand-colored band.

Pink puts deeper rose flowers on a dusty rose face with a burgundy band, while Rust scatters coral flowers over a soft gray face and finishes it in rust. Small is right for the couch, or for one person tucked up beneath it, and Large lies over the top of a made bed. The only real decision is which color you want to see every day.

Care

We recommend washing it by hand to keep it at its best. It will also take a cold machine wash on a delicate cycle, on its own. No bleach and no harsh detergents. Wash colors separately, so nothing transfers.

Tumble dry on low heat, or hang it to dry. Let it dry completely before you put it away or back on the bed.
