It looks like something is climbing out of the grass

Each one is sculpted as an open skeletal hand about the size of your own. Four long jointed fingers and a thumb set off to the side end in pointed tips, as if it is clawing its way up. In the middle of the palm sits a grinning little skull, with a grub curling out of one eye socket for anyone who comes close enough to notice.

Every joint and crack is lined in dark brown, the way old bone looks, so the detail reads even in daylight. On a green lawn in the afternoon they already stop people on the sidewalk. After dark the light comes from inside, brightest at the wrist and fading up through the knuckles. Those dark lines stay put, so every finger keeps its shape instead of melting into one bright blob.

One with its own panel, or four that share one

The single stake carries its solar panel on the collar right under the wrist, so there is nothing to connect and nothing trailing behind it. It suits a planter by the front steps, a gap in the flowerbed or the corner of the lawn where you want one lone hand breaking through.
