Textured Knit Throw Blanket with Tassels, Popcorn and Rib Zigzag Bands

Broad zigzag bands of tiny popcorn knots and slanted ribs run the length of this knit throw, and a fringe of tassels hangs from the ends. Fold it over the end of a bench or let it fall across the arm of the sofa, and a plain corner of the room picks up real texture without a single printed pattern.

The color is solid. All of the design lives in the knit. It stays soft and light enough to leave out all year, and it goes in the washing machine when it needs a wash.

Two textures that take turns across the whole face

One band is made of small round knots packed together in staggered rows, like a tray of popcorn. The next is a run of raised cords lying side by side on a slant, with a narrow channel between each one. Because the slant flips from one rib band to the next, the bands meet in points, and the whole throw settles into a wide zigzag with diamond-shaped panels of knots where the points come together.

Close up, you can pick out a single knot with a fingertip. From across the room you see the light catching the ridges and the shadow sitting in between. That play of light is what keeps one plain color from ever looking flat.

Tassels at the ends, and a knit that falls into folds

Each short end finishes in a row of loose tassels in exactly the body's color. Hang one end off the front of a chair and the fringe swings free underneath. Fold the throw in half on the bed and the tassels still show at the edge.

The yarn is 100% acrylic. It feels soft and breathable, never stiff. At 50 by 68 inches it covers your lap and legs on the sofa, goes around your shoulders at the desk, or lies across the foot of the bed as an extra layer on a cool night.

Mustard is a deep golden yellow, and Cream a warm off-white that brightens a dark sofa. Tan is a soft camel brown, while Charcoal is a dark slate gray with the faintest hint of blue. Olive is a muted gray-green, Gray a pale and cool shade, Pink a dusty blush, and Red a strong, clear red that holds its own in a neutral room.
