A bath mat with a coastal wave running across it in bands of tufted color, cream and sand into sea green on one version, white through to deep navy on the other. It gives a plain bathroom floor something to look at, and it gives wet feet somewhere soft and dry to land the moment you step out.
No cold tile underfoot. No mat skating sideways across the floor. No pale rug that shows every footprint.
A pattern that keeps the floor looking tidy
Each band is tufted in its own color, so the edges between them stay crisp and the waves read clearly from the doorway. On the Sand mat, cream and warm taupe give way to a frothy white crest and then three layers of sea green, the way a beach looks from the top of the dunes. The Blue mat climbs from a thin white line at the top, through pale sky blue, to a deep navy along the bottom edge.
The pattern earns its place on a wet floor as well. A plain mat records every damp footprint and every splash on a blank field, while curving tonal bands break the surface up, so the ordinary marks of a busy bathroom disappear into the design and the mat still looks fresh between washes.
Thick microfiber on top, grip underneath
The pile is a dense, thickened microfiber, soft under bare feet and quick to take the water off them. Microfiber has a lot of surface for its size, so it soaks up what drips off you and then dries out in the air, rather than staying damp all day.
Underneath, a non-slip TPR backing holds the mat in place. It grips best on clean, smooth, sealed floors such as ceramic and porcelain tile, stone, vinyl and sealed wood. Dry the floor after you mop and before the mat goes back down, because no backing can hold onto a film of water.
Four sizes, and a color for each kind of bathroom
The Small works nicely in front of a basin or in a guest bathroom, and the Medium suits the usual spot beside the tub. The Large covers a wider shower opening, while the Extra Large runs the whole walk from the shower to the vanity in a big main bathroom. Measure the clear floor first, so the mat lies flat without touching the vanity or the base of the toilet.
Sand is the warmer of the two, at home with timber vanities, brass or gold fittings and stone-look tile. Blue brings real contrast to a white and chrome bathroom that needs one piece of color. Either way, the first thing your feet meet after a shower is a soft, dry wave instead of cold tile.
