White Rope Basket with Beige Rim, Round Cotton Storage Bin in 3 Sizes

A round storage basket made from soft white cotton rope, coiled row on row, with a tan braided rim bound around the top. It gives the throws, the towels and the loose odds and ends of the house one place to go, and it looks calm enough to leave out in plain sight in any room.

It comes in three sizes, from a low Small for a shelf to a tall Large that stands on the floor. There is a hand slot on each side for lifting it, and when you need the space back, it folds down out of the way.

Soft white rope, finished with a tan rim

Plastic bins do the job. They also look like it. This one is meant for the shelves and corners you actually see every day. Each row is a braided cotton cord about a third of an inch thick, laid round and stitched to the row below with fine thread, so the walls carry a soft ribbed texture you notice from across the room.

The color is a warm off-white rather than a stark white. It sits easily with oak, linen, stone and pale painted walls.

Along the top, a single tan cord is wrapped around the opening and held by a neat zigzag stitch just beneath it. That thin line of warmth gives the basket a finished edge, and it is the detail that keeps all that white from looking plain.

A hand slot on each side, so a full basket still lifts

Just under the rim, on opposite sides, there is a short slot through the wall for your fingers. Slide a hand into each one and the basket comes straight up, blankets and all. No hugging it to your chest, no tipping it to find a grip.

From the front the slots all but disappear, so the clean round shape stays intact. The walls are rope rather than a rigid frame, which gives them a little softness against whatever is inside and lets the basket fold down when it is empty.

Three sizes for a shelf, a corner and the floor

The Small is low and wide, the right shape for rolled hand towels on a bathroom shelf, chargers and cables on a desk, or a ball of yarn and the project that goes with it. The Medium is as tall as it is wide and makes an everyday catch-all beside the sofa or at the end of the bed.

The Large stands tallest, for a throw or two in the living room, spare bedding in a closet, or a floor plant in its own pot and saucer. Each size is sold on its own.
