A fabric sofa that wipes clean like leather

Fabric cushions are comfortable, but they hold on to everything that lands on them. The seat you use most is always the first to show it. A throw or a loose blanket hides the mark for a while, then slides into the gap between the cushions every time somebody sits down and has to be pulled straight again.

This works cushion by cushion instead. Each cover gives one cushion a leather-look face with a soft satin sheen, while the arms, the base and the frame of the sofa stay exactly as they are. When something spills, a cloth takes it off the surface, and dust, crumbs and hair brush away rather than working into a weave.

It stretches on and stays put

The PU leather stretches a long way, so it pulls snug over the corners and down the sides of the cushion rather than sitting loose on top like a sheet. Underneath, an elastic hem gathers the edge into a neat border on all four sides. There is no zip to line up and nothing to tie. The cover is made to be anti-slip as well, so it holds its place as you sit down and get up again.

Which cover to order

Count the cushions, not the sofa. Each cover fits one cushion, so a three-seater with three seat cushions and three back cushions takes three covers for the seats and three Back covers, and a sectional adds a Chaise cover for the long lounger end.

Then measure one seat cushion from front to back, because its depth picks the cover type. A cushion 20 to 26 inches deep takes Seat, 26 to 31 inches takes Deep Seat, and 28 to 37 inches takes Extra Deep Seat. Chaise is for the long lounger cushion, and Back fits the upright back cushions in one size.

Next, measure the length along the front, which picks the size. Each size name shows the length range it fits for that cover type in inches, so Seat Small reads 20 to 25 in and Deep Seat Small reads 26 to 31 in. Small suits a single seat cushion, while Medium, Large and Extra Large are for the longer bench cushions that run across two places or more, and the chaise comes in Medium and Large depending on how long and deep the lounger is. Every range is also in the specifications in inches and centimeters, and every cover takes a cushion from 2 to 7.9 inches thick.

Fourteen colors run from Black, Brown, Charcoal and Gray through Cream, Beige and Sage to Teal, Cobalt, Blue, Burgundy, Pink, Yellow and Orange, so the covers can match a pale frame or give the whole sofa a new look while the frame keeps its own.
