Ginkgo branches run on the diagonal across this cotton quilt, fanned leaves clustered along every stem, and the back carries the same pattern in a second color. Turn it over and the bed has a completely different look without buying anything else. A grid of diamond stitching covers the whole surface and holds the filling evenly in place, so it does not shift or clump in the wash.

Eight colors, six sizes from Small to Oversized. Have it on its own, with matching pillowcases, or buy the pillowcases separately for a bed that already has one.

Eight colors, each with its own reverse

The colors come in mirrored pairs, so the back of one is the front of another. Charcoal sets bright yellow and cream leaves on a dark gray ground and turns over to yellow. Yellow is that pairing the other way around, a sunny face with brown and slate blue leaves and a charcoal back.

Black carries red and dusky rose leaves and has a red reverse. Red flips that around, with black and maroon leaves on a deep red ground and a black back. Gray pairs yellow and olive leaves with a mustard reverse, while Mustard puts cream and slate blue leaves on a rich golden ground with gray behind it.

Sage is a pale gray with a hint of green, scattered with orange and cream leaves, and it flips to orange. Orange keeps white and brown leaves on a warm ground and turns over to sage. Whichever face is up, the other shows at the edge wherever it folds back over the pillows.

Diamond quilting that keeps the filling where it belongs

The diamond grid is stitched right through from one face to the other, and that stitching is what stops the filling drifting to the corners or bunching up after a few trips through the machine. It also gives both sides the same soft, padded surface, so neither one is the plain back.

Cotton on both faces lets air through. On a warm night it works as the only cover, and when the room is cooler it sits happily over a duvet as a top layer. A wide border band wraps all four sides and is stitched flat along its inner edge, giving it a neat line where it hangs down the side of the bed.

The quilt alone, or with pillowcases to match

Quilt Only is just the quilt, in any of the six sizes. Quilt + 1 Pillowcase comes in Small, and Quilt + 2 Pillowcases in Medium through XXL, so the whole bed is finished in one order. 2 Pillowcases is the pair on its own, in Standard or Long, and the Oversized is sold as a quilt only.

Every size is measured in the specifications, width by length, so you can hold it up against your own bed before you choose. Made up with its pillowcases, the pattern runs unbroken from the headboard to the floor.
